Welspun Energy, country’s renowned name in the solar sector will be successfully commissioning two more plants in the state of Rajasthan by the end of next week. The completion marks Welspun’s efficiency, which has managed to complete its projects well ahead of schedule.
The 15-megawatt and 20-megawatt projects in Jodhpur district were expected to be starting from 26 February.
The company has already set up a 15 MW solar PV project, which is first of the three projects expected to be set-up worth 50 MW that the company’s subsidiary had won in the second batch of Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission’s (JNNSM). The projects are coming up in Phalodi Tehsil of Jodhpur district in Rajasthan.
Welspun has already commenced another 15-megawatt solar generator in the region, late last month. Earlier we had reported that the 50 MW projects would produce energy enough to light up 2.5 lakh homes. Apart from the solar projects, Welspun has also decided to set up solar- based research lab that will facilitate technological advancement of solar energy in India.
