Mitsubishi Rayon Co. has entered into a distributor agreement with the Vietnamese engineering firm Greentech Environment Joint Stock Co. to strengthen its water treatment-related businesses in Vietnam. Through Greentech, Mitsubishi Rayon will market membrane bio-reactor (MBR) hollow fiber membranes for use in wastewater treatment equipment installed in hospitals, hotels, factories and other facilities.
Established in 2003, Greentech is a locally financed engineering firm with 60 employees that has installed a large number of wastewater treatment equipment throughout Vietnam. Primarily involved in the sale of wastewater treatment equipment to Japanese factories as well as hospitals and hotels, Greentech has already handled Mitsubishi Rayon’s water treatment membranes.
With wastewater regulations becoming more stringent in recent years, the use of MBR advanced treatment technology has spread in Vietnam in such areas as wastewater recycling.
