This challenging schedule will require a dedicated manufacturing set-up for Landis Gyr’s Joka unit, located in WBSEDCL’s home town of Kolkata.

“Landis Gyr is the largest international player in the electricity metering space within India,” Landis Gyr India’s CEO Sandip Mukherjee commented, “we are honored by WBSEDCL’s continued trust in Landis Gyr by selecting us for this contract. It is a testimony to the quality of the products we deliver and also an example of our outstanding relationship with Indian utilities. We believe this contract selection will position us well for the upcoming advanced meter roll-outs throughout India.”

“Our ability to consistently deliver large-volume meter contracts with excellent quality devices has been a key driver of our strong momentum across the Asia Pacific region,” added Oliver Iltisberger, Executive Vice President of Landis Gyr Asia Pacific, “this proven capability has demonstrated time and again our ability to be a trusted partner in helping Asia Pacific based utilities manage energy better.”
