FuelCell Energy launch new website as part of growth strategy

FuelCell Energy, Inc. a global leader in the design, manufacture, operation and service of ultra-clean, efficient and reliable fuel cell power plants, today announced the launch of a new website at www.fuelcellenergy.com and an updated FuelCell Energy logo. In the past year, the Company has executed a number of initiatives including the acquisition of European manufacturing capacity, expansion in Asia through licensing agreements, development and sale of a multi-megawatt fuel cell park in North America to a leading utility, and the acquisition of solid oxide fuel cell technology to expand adjacent market opportunities.

The new website highlights this progress as well as utilizing reference site examples to illustrate the multiple attributes of stationary fuel cell power generation. The enhancements enable prospective customers to quickly gain an understanding of the value proposition of highly efficient and ultra-clean Direct FuelCell® (DFC®) fuel cell power plants through the use of an improved layout, graphics and photos. Each of the megawatt-class markets are explained, including on-site power for universities, municipal, food and beverage, and industrial applications as well as electric grid support with multi-megawatt fuel cell parks for electric utilities and independent power producers. A video is available on the home page featuring a customer and several legislators discussing the economics and value of DFC power plants.

“We deliver highly efficient and environmentally friendly power generation solutions that help our customers address sustainability issues in an economically compelling fashion,” said Chip Bottone, Chief Executive Officer and President, FuelCell Energy, Inc. “Visitors to our website will be able to understand the markets we serve, the value that we provide to our customers, and ideally, visitors will find some useful industry reference points.”

The website also highlights the applications development initiatives by the Advanced Technologies group to expand the market opportunities for DFC power plants as well as development of solid oxide fuel cell technology for sub-megawatt and specialty applications.

A Careers section highlights available job opportunities and offers a streamlined process for applicants interested in pursuing employment with FuelCell Energy, Inc.

The FuelCell Energy logo was updated to recognize the global transformation of the Company and the expanding market opportunities for highly efficient distributed power generation solutions. The white chevrons represent the fuel cell stack that produces ultra-clean power in a manner that is almost entirely absent of pollutants. The green background reflects the high efficiency and environmentally-friendly nature of the fuel cell power generation process that supports both economics and sustainability goals. The grey-colored font used for the Company name is purposefully a lighter shade to highlight the light impact the easy-to-site fuel cell power generation solutions have on the environment and the local community.
